About Dineh Iran

Dineh Industrial Complex is the first herbal medicine producer in Iran

The Dineh Iran Industrial Complex was established in 1980 through the efforts of the late Mohammad Karim Ebrahimi Qajar to revive medicinal plants and promote their applications, along with several of his friends. It was officially registered in Tehran, Iran. The factory site was designated in Qazvin, and production initially began in a small warehouse located in the village of Mahmoudabad, where local consumers received the products.

To sustain activities and expand operations in a scientific manner, comparable to products manufactured in countries such as India and China, Dr. Ali Zargari—then Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Tehran and Head of the Department of Medicinal Plants at the Ministry of Health—joined in collaboration with Dineh Iran. At the same time, Dr. Kalhori and Dr. Shafiei, both graduates of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Tehran, along with Dr. Poursajadi, who had specialized in medicinal plants in Germany, were added to the group.

During this period, Dineh acquired several hectares of land in Buin Zahra (Qazvin Province) and successfully cultivated its own medicinal raw materials. Subsequently, in accordance with the regulatory requirements of the Ministry of Health, the company established the Medicinal and Industrial Plants Cultivation Complex of Iran. Medicinal plants needed by the company were cultivated across nearly 400 hectares of farmland in three regions—Dezful, Qazvin, and Gilan—chosen to match the ecological requirements of the plants.

Over the past four decades, despite numerous challenges, Dineh has accumulated experience and advanced its knowledge and expertise, successfully introducing a wide range of products to the Iranian pharmaceutical market and securing a distinguished position within the country’s pharmaceutical industry.
